The MOOC-Maker project started in 2016 and is co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union; it is formed by 6 Latin American and 3 European Higher Education Institutions who seek to promote the culture of MOOCs and SPOCs.
One of the results of the project is to create, develop and implement 6 MOOCs in themes oriented to the training of young people and adults in basic competencies that allow them to improve their training, promoting a better labor insertion.
Likewise, to reinforce the presence of quality MOOCs in Spanish, promoting equality of access to inclusive education, especially taking into account the most disadvantaged groups in the region.
Because of this, campus.moocmaker.org has been created, through Open edX, an open source platform, where MOOCs created by Latin American partners of the project will be hosted and given. A minimum enrollment of 10,000 students is expeted in the courses, who will benefit from these free MOOCs.
The courses will be created by some of the best universities in Chile, Colombia and Guatemala and will be available from August 2017.
