Oscar Jerez Yáñez PhD Director of the Teaching and Learning Centre, Faculty of Economics and Business from Universidad de Chile and partner of the MOOC-Maker project, visited the facilities of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain to present the conference “MOOCs and peer evaluation” and the workshop “The true heart of active learning” organized by the UNESCO Chair on January 31, 2018.
During the conference “MOOCs and peer evaluation” he presented the objective of his research, which was to analyze the correlation between “authentic assessments” applied by students and the judgment of the teaching staff, within the framework of a course for business and administration students.
The practical workshop “The true heart of active learning” aimed to synthesize active learning, as an approach to the teaching and learning process in Higher Education, from educational research, conceptualization, recommendations and examples for its implementation.
